"The Rose"

In the heart of Eden lay a segment
Which no mortal eye had ever seen
The solitude was such
That only Heaven could provide
And nature dared not intervene

The rose bush basked in pale of sunlight
Its leaves kissed gently with the morning dew
It was the embodiment of Eden
Bless'ed as the ground from which it grew
Its scarlet leaves ran dark and rich
Florescent in its infinity
Grown not by Mother Nature
This rose was product of divinity

I cut this rose from origin
Drawn to its ethereal appeal
My affection for it soared as such
My heart could not conceal
Breathless from the flower's beauty
Revelling in admiration
Unaware in my distraction
That I had welcomed my damnation
I held this rose; watched it die within my hand
I watched it pale and wither, as Nature would demand

One by one, its leaves met earth
One by one, I watched them die
I held this rose, and I inquired
Why can something so beautiful
Live only for so long?

Block

Why didn’t they give me the supplies?
To temporarily
Elude my enemy
The one I can never
Fully escape
AHHHHHH!!!
This sucks

Hear My Cry

Verse 1

God it's me again
I've just been Wondering'
Where you been
Cause I can't see you in my life
I'm tired of losin' this fight

Chorus

Because I'm lost
I'm lost again
And I'm strugglin'
Now I'm sinking in sin
Because it’s hard to see you
Your light won't shine through
All of the pain and tears.
Lord hear my cry for mercy,
As I call on you for help.

Verse 2

The guilt has overwhelmed me
It's becoming hard to see
Just where you fit in
My sins won't let go
I just want to know
That your there.

Chorus

Because I'm lost
Lost again
And I'm strugglin'
Now I'm sinking in sin
Because it’s hard to see you
Your light won't shine through
All of the pain and tears.
Lord hear my cry for mercy,
As I call on you for help.

Ending

Praise the Lord, for he has heard
My cry for mercy
The Lord is my Strength
And my Shield
Praise the Lord he has heard
My Cry For Mercy..........

what you want to hear

Raindrops fall on my windshield
They make it all the more obvious
That you are no longer there
That empty bucket seat,
Covered in the finest upholstery
And a fragment of our life,
Mocks me as I drive down this
Weathered, too-familiar road.
It is the road to home,
Or what passes for home now
These cinder blocks, placed here
Many years ago, don’t answer my call
None of my friends can help me
I have called upon them in vein
So now I am sitting here in my chair
Talking to naught but my paper
Whose apathy is only rivaled
By its uncanny ability
To dispense condolences
But it can never replace you

I like green, it flows better than the other and I don't even get blue.
Soon you will sit on the bench
of those who deny I have my soul
You sell a dream you create
Condemned by what you condemned before
Smooth are the words you sing down and high
Underground is your joy your laws
