Has anyone seen this movie?

I saw it today and it was a lot better than it looked in the trailers in my opinion.

It was directed by one of my favorite directors Danny Boyle so I knew it was going to be good.

It was just released in America but I believe it was out earlier in the UK.

What did you think of the movie?

Also one question about it. In the middle of the film there were times when random images popped up (they were faces) but they were only there for like a fraction of a second on and off throughout the scene. I remember the movie and book Fight Club where Tyler added images into movies while he worked as the projection guy in a theater. I think this is what happened in that viewing of the film but I am not sure.
For those who saw it do you guys remember anything like that? It may just be part of the movie.

Havn't seen it but my mate said it was alright, but that doesn't say much.
Didn't like how they ripped off the theme song to Requiem for a Dream, and then killed it the way they altered it.

saw it and really liked it, thought the visuals were amazing

the random images were of the dead crew members of icarus I

Ok. I thought that might be it but it seemed to be the same guy a few times.

It looks like the Solar version of "The Core"....

I couldn't find much dissimilarities between the two movies....

i thought it was good but i didnt think there was a need to add a supernatural element to the movie..
there was enough suspense as it was and it sorta became a distraction..
anyone know the point of it?

Yeah that came out like 3 months ago here.

I saw it in Gold Class so it was really good.

Wasn't it just him being burned?

I wish they explained it more.

the captains is so burnt he becomes dust, hence in the video we are all dust

whhen he goes to the icarus 2 and becomes a psycho was the switch for the film in how danny boyle and alex garland wanted to incorporate a horror feel to the film along the lines of event horizon.......cept better

i didnt think the film needed that to keep people interested..
it was a diversion from the flow the movie had going

yes i agree, however the filmmakers thought if they did it would have been too cliched, just like any other movie involving saving the world and how every death is accidental

i did enjoy how each of the deaths (cept two of em) the people were either frozen or burnt to death

Wait, does he have a new movie coming out?

Besides Sunshine no.

Although it was just announced that Danny Boyle will be directing a movie called "Slumdog Millionaires". I don't know what it is about though.

He has rumored also that he is talking to Irvine Welsh about making a movie out of the sequel to Trainspotting, "Porno" (which is a very good book by the way). The movie will most likely include the original cast but Ewan McGregor said that he did not want to be a part of it because he wants to be known for "Trainspotting" and not a possibly mediocre sequel.

You'd think with a director as good as Boyle he'd have a bunch of movies to direct.
