Cube 60, hands down. I've got one, brilliant machine it is. You may want to purchase a distortion pedal (EHX Metal Muff) if you're looking to go really heavy. Copes with everything else though.
Gear:
Gibson Les Paul Custom
Epiphone EDS-1275
Epiphone Les Paul
Schecter C-1+
Peavey Delta Blues

I've never played the Randall before so I'm not going to say it's good or bad, but the Cube 60 sounds nice for solid state, I like it.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

You can't go wrong with the Cube or Randall. The Cube's probably more versatile but the Randall probably has 'better' gain. Just don't get an MG.
The Laney Thread are big and clever. No exceptions.
