If you're that confused and that's all you can tell us than I'm pretty positive that you do not need another guitar.
The power of your example is far greater than what you say.

if you like metal, i would get a Dean ML XM, but if you want a whammy bar with it, than get a Dean Ml Noir. there pretty much the same thing, but only the noir has a whammy bar.
the dean Ml XM is sumthin like $130 on musicians friend, and the Ml Noir is like $460.

You should all be slapped for attempting to give him an answer knowing nothing about what he wants it for...

So you play rock and metal music. Do you have a brand preference? Neck-type, bridge, pick-up preferences?

I'm not suggesting anything without knowing what genre you play, and what kind of hardware you want, and even then I'll still probably say that you need to go to a shop and play some to get one that feels good to you, because ordering online is fairly retarded unless you have some idea of how the guitar plays and feels.

^Can you handle, or even want to for that matter, the technicalities of a floyd rose? They're a great tool to have for those genres but they can be a bitch to deal with.
And are you willing to buy used, or only new?

who ever said i had to get a dean with a floyd rose

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dean-ML79-Electric-Guitar?sku=512932

but i might just stick with a fender stratocaster standard

idk yet

Yea toxicity is right, be carefull when buying a floyd rose. Dont expect a quick and easy string change and even less if you change string gauge. For those who dont know how to set up the bridge properly it WILL cause hours and hours of annoying trial and error. As well as some time looking up on google/posting on forums on how to set it up correctly.

i think im getting the fender stratocaster standard any way so

I just recently purchased an epiphone les paul standard for $479 plays great and has good sound. My band plays stuff like scorpions and Van Halen. If you need a good quality guitar then I recommend that my friend.

That's not about the style of guitar unless you for some reason that God only knows think you're hardcore. That's all about the electronics. A Fat Strat could handle metal anyday with the right pickups in it. In fact, Strats are great for classical and blues too, which is where metal is originated from...
