i own a olp petrucci and i want to take it to the next lvl
i love the feel and shape of this guitar and it fits me the best out of all the guitars i have played but even that the pickups are good for stock they are still missing depth and punch in metal (you know Metallica Pantera Testament and so on).
i got some alternatives:
1- go for Dimarzio
2- seymour duncan
and the wild card 3- go active with emg's and carv in the guitar

i need help pleas

You even have the dave mustaine, dimebag signature series... not bad, but the invader is pretty heavy... And dimarzio has a great bridge humbucker that's simillar to Dimebag's ( rails ) and it sounds great! It's your choice, btw. my opinion on EMG's is that hey sound like **** on clean, but hey, my opinion. Rock on

A new amp will help you way more than new pickups. Getting good metal pickups won't do you any good untill you have a tube amp that you can drive. If you really want new pickups and not a new amp just get paf's and an EQ pedal.
Not taking any online orders.

is there a good tube amp that i can use in my room?
cuz i don't need more then 30w
BTW marshell are my favorite amps, i just love the sound

What kind of budget do you have? There are a lot of amps that cost $500 or more that are great but they cost. If you are on a budget then I'd probably go with an Epi VJ head and a G12 greenback or a Vintage 30 or something. The whole setup will run you as much as a set of pickups.

Is that so? Marshall MGs don't sound anything like real Marshalls.

So you know..
It's just that it sounds like you bought your MG because it says Marshall on it...

Anyway, an Epi VJ is more suited for classic rock....but something like a Roland Cube 30 or something might be right up your alley.

You can't even spell Marshall....

so what if i can spell it?
English is not my mother language

any way
ok so i need a new amp set up, if i sell my amp i think i can gather up.....500$ or so
what do i buy then?, remember it is a room amp not a stage amp and i want very heavy distortion

If you want very heavy distortion, then you want a pedal. Not even the Valve Junior (5 watts) will distort at room levels.

why because i cant play it in a hi vol?
and its not that i only want to bust my ears with distortion i also want good rich clean

Exactly!

Distortion or Overdrive are caused by driving an amp beyond its' threshold for clean sound!

ya i know
listen
here is the deal
i love playing and i love music
i have an electric guitar and amplifier and i play in my room at most times
and i have no plans on having a musical career and i treat the guitar playing as a hobby
i just want to take my equipment to the next lvl

Get a better practice amp.
Get a half-decent distortion pedal.

That is all.

If you can't turn the amp up high, you won't get natural distortion, so you use a pedal to synthesize that.

ok so what is a better practice amp?
and is the DIGITECH metal master a good pedal for me?

A better practice amp is the one you try out and like the sound of.

A good pedal for you is the one of those you try out with the amp and like the sound of.
