I wrote this one over a lost family member, so excuse it's sappyness. Person was a painter, which is why one stanza and the title refers to painting. Crit for Crit like always.

It seems like there was a million miles between us
And now you're even farther away
I know you're in that better place
But I'll still miss you anyway

I wish I could be by your side
I wish I was there to watch you go
I wish I could've seen you one last time
Maybe then I wouldn't feel so alone

You've inspired me in ways you'll never know
Your pictures paint a story like none other
In a language all their own
A language best left undiscovered

And every day that's gone by
Is just a reminder you're really gone
Cos everyday I'd hope and pray
That this realization is wrong...

I wish I could be by yourside
I wish I was there to watch you go
I wish I could've seen you one last time
I couldn't stand to see you so cold, so lifeless
So alone.
