I have been playing for just over a month now, I practice 4 ++ hrs a day.

I have a problem hitting the A Chord. I can't seem to nail it to keep it from ringing. This is the first chord I learn and i figured it would come over time, but it still doesn't sound crisp.

I know probably 20 or so non Bar chords and 85-90% of the time I get them to sound crisp and clear. I only struggle with the A Chord. My issues usually revolve around the top string of the chord (Finger farthest from the fret line).

Any suggestions appreciated
thanks in advance

either bar it or use your first three fingers and mute high E with the 4th finger

try your pointer and middle finger, depending how you play it, it allows for your fingers to get closer to the fret.

try switching*your pointer and middle finger, depending how you play it, it allows for your fingers to get closer to the fret.
