Is kirks part really complicated? Are the first hammerons easy and then theres trill picking, then theres the hammerontrill part then theres the super awesome screeching ***** part and then its slow for a sec then it dives into trill picking and wild bends, so rly tell me UG'ers
Oh and any tehnique (sp??) tips for this solo

its not that hard really.. just fast. build up to the speed on the record, no need to go there immediately. one of those that sounds a lot harder than it is really..

That one crazy high part is 'fretting out' - it's to hard to pull off live, so kirk just pinch harmonics instead. Doesn't sound as good, but it's easier on you AND the guitar.

Ha, yes, Kirk actually broke a string playing the solo on the album, and he also went off the fretboard and fretted with a pickup (about the 32nd fret)

he didn't break it...that wouldn't have made that sound.

he just ripped it way off the fretboard and cought it on the pickups most likely

If you cant play it at full speed the first time then WTF SELL YOUR GUITAR ON EBAY.
Just kidding, i agree with everybody above me. get guitar pro it will play the part for you as well as a speed trainer which will loop the highlited part and play it at a certain speed and overtime increase slowly.

It gets less complicated as you practice it more. That apply to every single thing in guitar too BTW.
Besides being a guitar player, I'm a big fan of the guitar. I love that damn instrument. Steve Vai

the only tricky part is the main solo, the triplets on the 17th fret! Thats it!
