Damn it is the proper term, but dammit is considered to be a colloquialism stemming from southern vernacular, so either one are acceptable. Damn it is considered to be a "more educated" approach (kind of ironic) but I've always liked dammit more myself.
#6
Damn it is correct, Dammit is kind of a contraction of the two words without an apostrophe.

I've also seen Damnit.

But just because a majority use/support/do something doesn't mean it's right, does it? The majority voted in George W. Bush in the last election. Doesn't mean they were right, does it!!?

Ahhh.... I hate politics.

On topic though, I don't tend to use 'damn', 'dammit' or even 'damnit'.. I just tend to say sh-t or f-ck instead. They're more to the point, I feel.

I use 'damnit'.

But after reading these posts, it doesn't even sound like a real fake word anymore!

I usually use Dammit because it's much more in touch with my human feelings.
Fair enough.

But you'd better ask permission if you wanna touch my "human feelings".

They both work perfectly, IMHO. Damnit doesn't work as well.
