I'm lookin to buy a new amp, and have found the one i want - a Marshall JCM 900 High Gain Master Volume (2100). (I play mostly classic rock, but require some slight beef, and the two switchable master volumes is just perfect!)
Got a slight problem though:

The JCM 900 (2100) was only made from 1990 to 1992. And then from 1993 - 1999 Marshall replaced it with the SL-X range. Thing is, is there any difference between a plain 2100 and a 2100 SL-X?!?!?! i've heard the SL-X is more biased towards metal and thrash... but i just don't know..!
