Which brand is overall of better quality, or is it just personal preferance? Some of the Boss pedals cost a fair amount moer compared to Digitech(ie:flanger, Digitech=80USD,Boss=120USD). So which brand has a overall better quality?

Boss. Boss is better, Digitech's sound cheaper, but won't make much difference when it comes to the reverbs and the delays, because those just replay the sound, not change how it sounds.

Although I hear the Digitech pedals like the Bad Monkey are pretty good.

Also the Digitech whammy, just to pout in some good pedals from Digitech.

I first bought a digitech hot head but I ended up returning it and getting a Boss DS-1.
I don't remember much about the digitech but I think it had pretty nice distortion actually it's worth looking into. Also if I recall the EQ on it worked well and was easy to use.

However I felt the Boss had a warmer almost overdrive like quality but it lacks in the EQ cause the tone pst 12 o clock can get harsh.

I wouldn't say one's better than the other but they aren't the same.

Just my two cents...
