For me it was highway to hell...i learned most of the song first, but the solo was the 2nd solo i learned

I wanted to learn Bark At The Moon ( and any other song that Jake E. Lee wrote the guitar part for that matter)... but I wasnt able to play any of his stuff until I played for about 6 months

Stairway to Heaven. I was just starting guitar back then and I practiced the solo for 6 hours straight trying to get it down. I ended up being about 10x better.

Well i wanted to play Children of Bodom by Children of Bodom on the assumption of 'how hard can it be'. After seeing the tabs, i did what 90% of other guitarists do and learn the riff from Smoke On The Water.
