Lately, I've been kicking around the idea of getting rid of my Les Paul in favor if an SG. Before I commit to anything, I'm wondering what would be involved in converting the G-400 style half pickguard to the full '66 style pickguard. Would I need anything other than the pickguard and screws?

sg 400 standard 2 pickup or sg 400 custom 3 pickup? either way, yea its just a few holes to drill, though since its made in china or korea you cant use american stuff. they use metric measurements and we still use usa standard. shouldnt be too hard though

It's fullsize. I have one.

my G-400 has a half size pickguard, '61 style.

but yeah, you'd need to drill a few more holes to fit a full size pickguard and possibly re-mount the pickups because they are pickguard mounted on the fullsize pickguard i think.

Get the Special one. Or maybe not. Mine has a full pickguard but I'm not sure which one it is, since it isn't the Special's color
