hey everyone, i've been trying to tune my guitar to drop d flat so i can play a breaking benjamin song. Can anyone give me some tips on how to tune it to drop d flat?
If you are in Drop D, tune the last string to the A string from the 8th fret. And do the same with every string but +1 fret to the normal tuning. (I know I didn't explain it every well. Hope that makes sense...)
yea that makes sense, thanks!
or you could buy a tuner...
if you have a tuner...... just hold 2nd fret on your E string, and tune down tillyou get to E again!
alrighty, i got a tuner and both ways work great! but do u guys know how to do it for a bass? i gotta teach our bassist to do it too
exactly the same, just without those 2 higher strings a guitar has
If you have a capo, they can really help. Just put it on the first fret and then tune to drop d. Works on guitar and bass.
