tons of metal bands use standard tuning. power metal is your best bet. try some stratovarius or blind guardian or something like that.

Rarely. They may have used it more in their early days before Phil Anselmo joined, but as the years went on they dropped lower and lower.

false. they played in standard on many songs. they actually were always experimenting with different tunings. every song on an album were never the same tuning.

idk... i thought i read somewhere that every megadeth album was recorded in e standard apart from youthanasia, which was recorded in Eb

Standard for the first two, I believe, and then he went down to C#, which was a big innovation at the time, and Iommi's pretty famous for it.

Metallica actually used drop C or Drop B for St. Anger and most of their ealy stuff was in standard tuning.

actually diddnt they use 7 strings in standard for alot of it, i dont think they used Drop B

BG plays in Eb, i think Eb is more common in power metal than standard
