Hey i have been reading a few threads on here and found a couple things about what amp settings i should be using.... i just can't seem to get it to sound correct. My gear is as follows...
75-watt Line 6 Spider II
Samick SFB1 guitar

i really would appreciate any help with settings you have for the amp/guitar i currently use.

Can't help you, but I get that tone on my strat's neck pickup, through a tube screamer with the drive about 4-5 into my deluxe reverb on a basic setting. Try less distortion, more mids and bass, with less treble.
Yeah Dimebag is not the "Greatest Guitarist" of all time... Hendrix maybe... I must go get food to eat with my mouth

$250 for an amp? wow. is it worth it to invest that much in the amp?

strat neck pickup, 8-10 for treble and bass, 4-6 for mids. Distortion should be tube-like and around 3-5. NOTE THIS MIGHT ONLY WORK FOR ME

On the record he uses a Big Muff for distortion actually.

A neck pickup would be

the one on the top, next to where you play.

And if you don't know what a Fender Stratocaster is...

The acoustic guitar has this tuning:
E same as high e string
A high A from a 12-string set
D high D from a 12-string set
G high G from a 12-string set
B normal b string
E normal e string

Big Muff
- sustain 100%, tone 30-40%, volume 50-60%

Electric Mistress
- colour 10:00, range 10:00, rate 9:00 (o’clock)

I usually add some delay on the solos
- Time 370ms, 35% feedback, 35% Level

Everything but the delay settings were found at gilmourish.com under Davids Gear You can find gear and settings for every album, Pink Floyd and Solo career.
Sorry, no amp settings but its something to go by. I use a mix of the amp settings found on the setting threads on this sites forum for my gear.
