u sir are by far my favorite musician on UG why because ur voice is great and ur song choice is great especially the Hendrix songs because Little Wing is my favorite song and your cover of Voodoo Child 2 years ago was the first great cover I heard on UG and it has been my favorite even though 2 years has gone by and I must say I just wish you would come out with songs more often because I love your style, your tones, your playing, added licks and whatever else you do as well even on songs like comfortably numb though me and my father aren't big fans of Pink Floyd it is simply amazing...as for this song... it just isn't in any way my style of song, what would you classify it as like a slow bluesy number? I've never heard the original song but to me the end of it with the sound and the way u play the notes reminds me of B.B. King but I know it is an old blues song, who originally did the song I don't know but I know Clapton has a version...Clapton is my 3rd favorite guitarist but still this song was too slow for my taste and I listen to everything...nonetheless the tone and playing was perfect and I can't say much more than that...because it's not about my opinion on the song itself, it's about ur playing.

yea clapton has a version, it's originally by Big Bill Broonzy, an old blues musician.

clapton made the song more popular when he covered it with duane allman on the derek and the dominoes album "layla"

clapton has also recorded it with bb king on the "riding with the king" album.

the derek trucks band does a cover too.

i like this song a lot

thanks for listening.

I thought it was good. As others said, the vocals weren't amazing, but I thought that they fit the song really well, very laid back. The solo was cool too.

ur voice is like George Harrison. just to point that out... which is... GOOD.

the guitar solo tone is very warm. almost a jazz guitar. could've been a bit crisper. but decent tone. Solo coulda been a bit faster, but no complaints. it's blues, and u put the soul in. GREAT!!!
