keep in my mind that i play hardcore music and i like the scoop effect distortion. less medium a little bass and high treble.

if you like effects and are willing to buy an OD pedal for more gain, then go with Valvetronix. if you don't need all that stuff, go with Peavey.

The Valveking doesn't really sound all that great with scooped mids and dimed gain. It's a great classic rock and blues amp.

If you are out for a trebely amp I would have to advise you to stay away from the valvetronix. I own the AD30VT and it has bottom end to spare, so I can only assume that the 100w 2x12 will also.

You know what though, you might want to check out the Valvetronix XL series. These are designed more towards the metal players.

my vox ad30vt sounds great for metal with a ts9 tubescreamer pushing the gain up. or at least i think so anyway
