Alright I know many a thread has been made about this but I would still like some help with this from more experienced bassists.

I have owned my MIA Fretless Fender Precision for about a year now and was thinking about buying another bass (fretted this time ).

Now as far as music goes i mostly play Jazz, Funk and also Rock.
Much along the lines of Led Zep, RHCP and along those lines.

Now as for price i have roughly $3000 NZ (New Zealand). Im not to sure how much that is over where you guys are but any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Fretless.

Brands to look at include: Fender, Musicman, Warwick. From those I'd recommend a MIA Jazz bass or if you can afford it a MIA Precision Deluxe.

Not a clue, in the UK the jazz would be around £800, and the Deluxe P is around £1200, but the price in dollars isn't accurate when you just change currency, gear is cheaper in the US.

okay so i was looking to get it shipped over to New Zealand from the US because of the awful variety that we have over here in our music shops.

I have always been interested in getting a Jazz...

I'd say a MIA fender precision, a warwick corvette standard, or possibly a Precision special, I found the MIM deluxe more versatile while the MIA one while the MIA has more beefy tone.

3,000.00 NZD=2,117.80 USD

I'd go for a Music Man Bongo.

I think white people are better than black people.
While this statement is kinda racist and straightforward, it does have many FACTS to back it up lolz.

It's going to vary from site to site.

You might also want to look at Lakland and Rickenbacker basses. I'd try before you buy as with anything.

I would absolutely love to try before i buy but as i said before it is kind of difficult to find quality instuments over here. Our music stores are filled with cheap Squires and Rockbasses. I want to upgrade not downgrade....
