i'm looking at some DiMarzio pickups and the description says to specify regular or F-spacing. what's F spacing?

oh, and as this is the first after-market set of pickups i've ever bought so far, i wanna ask. is it safe to try the soldering myself? because i know how to solder, but i dunno if it's harder to solder pickups in because there's a smaller area to work in or something.

I think F-spacing is for if you're installing them at an angle, but i'm not entirely sure.
Rig Winter 2017:

Fender Jazzmaster/Yamaha SG1000
Boss TU-3, DS-2, CS-3, EHX small stone, Danelectro delay
Laney VC30-112 with G12H30 speaker, or Session Rockette 30 for smaller gigs
Elixir Nanoweb 11-49 strings, Dunlop Jazz III XL picks
Shure SM57 mic in front of the amp

f spacing means that the poles are spaced for a guitar with floyd rose or for a fender style guitar. doesn't really matter though. normal none f sapced pickups can go it all guitars and f spaced can go in all guitars
