to stop people from making a ton of threads asking "is agile any good?" or "have you guys ever heard of agile?", just ask here instead of making new threads. Post reviews of your Agile gear, ask questions about Agile, etc.

Anyone know if rondomusic will have more colors for AL-2000? Or is it just the flame, white and black tops?

I just got $100 bucks from a family member and I want an SX strat so bad... But I need to buy new tuners and and other misc stuff for my Hondo to get it into working order. It doesn't make sense to have two project guitars running at the same time. I'll give it a week or two and if I land a job soon then I will buy it.

I was thinking of either getting the AL-2000 black with the gold hw or should I save up for the AL-3000MAP. Was also wondering if these were good for metal. If so, would the strings be thick enough to handle drop tunings?

You shouldnt have to upgrade anything on the SX

Their made really well, i've had one of the strat copies for a good two years now all stock and have no trouble with it and play it all the time!

^Only thing I'd really upgrade on the SX is the tuners and trem. Other then that I'd keep them pretty much stock. Maybe new pups down the line but I don't sweat it.

how are the stock pups? I was also thinking about getting the one with duncans, but i might end up saving some money if their stock pups are good.

God, I'd be so thankful for this thread if it actually managed to keep the agile fanboys out of the rest of the forum.

Thats not going to happen, though, so this thread is pretty pointless IMO.

What can ya say their damn nice guitars for the price

Hell of a lot better then anything you'd get from epiphone or squire thats for damn sure.

Once you get to play one yourself it's pretty obvious why they have so many fans. Especially the higher up LP copies.

When it comes to the stock pups in my AL I'm not really crazy about them. They don't blow me away or are anything special imo. Other people though really over these pups so this is just as much of a matter of taste as any other set of pups. They do get the job done and work for what I play as of right now. I want to swap them out but I have too much on my plate right now in terms of other guitar repairs and upgrades for me to gripe over them too much. I have a song that I am working on my myspace that I used my Agile for. The intro is both both pups, rhythm is the necks pickups and the little solo bit is done with the bridge. (song is still being worked on so sorry if you don't like it lol)

Played em, they're nothing special.

I'm going to bed now, so flaming me for my response will bear you no fruits.

Good night.

i have an al 2800 i love it, it was about 400$ canadian after shipping an duty and it was worth every penny. Easily comparable to an epi les paul custom which considerably more expensive. they really are great guitars, come with great set ups and there is no buzz on the neck at all. Also to the tuners are top notch! before buying an epiphone i think if there is a way you should try an agile. I can't stand up for the quality of the 2000s because i havn't tried one. I've only played my 2800 and a 3000map. the best part of the agiles is that should you hate it, you can return it and get your money back no questions askeD!

Any LP type guitar is great for metal!

You can always put on heavier strings if you want to drop tune. I believe all the LP ones come with 10's.

^Well they came stock with 10's. I personally use 11's on all my shorter scale guitars to make up for the difference in the tension. I also tend to tune down to C alot with my Agile. Once I get my Hondo in playing order I will setup my Agile for C and leave it like that.

Well i wouldn't say ANY LP type guitar is good for metal and i doubt a completely stock Agile would be a good metal guitar. swap the pickups out for some Dimarzios or SDs and you've got a great metal guitar

What would you guys think of an Agile AL-2000 and a Roland 20x for a starter setup so I can learn to play? Ill probably upgrade to a 3000 after I get good, but the amp should last a little.

hi guys, i just recieved 200 dollars from a family member, and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to purchase the AL2000, or Valkyrie 3, or should i save up and buy one of the higher end Agiles?

I would personally say an Agile AL-2000. Everyone from reviews I've read says they are on par with $500 guitars and they look pretty sleek imo.

I'd have to side with nexteyenate on this one. Its a very nice starter setup. I've seen people spend alot more money on total crap and this setup would blow alot of the kids I know out of the water.

For the most part all AL's are very good guitars. It just depends on what you want really. Would you prefer the ebony fretboard on the 3000+ models, a uniform neck on the 2800's and slightly wider nut widths. No matter what you do its not going to be a horrible decision. Just pick what better suits you.

Why not? If your really a metal player then you've probably already got a "metal" amp. Toss in a thick sounding LP and your good to go. Even with stock pups!
