A little pointless don't you think?

To answer your question, go back int ime to 1997 and listen to everything that was coming out at the time. Then stumble upon OK Computer and you'll say to yourself, "People can actually DO this?"
Poor advice.

Eh, I thought that it was fine. But all of my friends are like OMFGZ KEROUAC ON THE ROAD LOLZ and they make him seem like a god and the book a Bible. Mind, he is a great author. But I think On The Road is the only book of his that they have read. I enjoy his other works.

On the Road's one of my favourite books It's more like a biographical journal than a novel. It's just cool. Dharma Bums seemed a bit forced to me, but that's probably 'cause I read it after "On the Road"

Top Books

1. Notes From Underground- Dostoyevsky
2. Crime and Punishment - (I loved D )
3. On the Road - Jack Kerouac
4. Dylan Interviews Collection- I'm obsessed
5. Collection of Lovecraft short stories- H.P Lovecraft

Albums

1.Desire- Dylan (Ok, the list could just be Dylan.)
2. Complete Recordings- Robert Johnson
3. White Album- Beatles
4. Elvis #1s- Elvis (Yeah, I know- "Best ofs" are for losers )
5. Cripple Crow- Devendra Banhart

These change all the time though

Films

1. Shawshank Redemption
2. The Green Mile
3. Misery (Stephen King films rawk)
4. Hair!
5. Napolean Dynamite

For a film student I don't really like that many films

Songs to Play!

1. Don't Think Twice it's Alright- Bob Dylan (Fingerstyle fun)
2. House of the Rising Sun (Acoustically, not the Animal's version)
3. Dear Prudence
4. Sound of Silence or America by S&G
5. Whiskey in the Jar- Traditional Irish version- not Thin Lizzy and definately not the Metallica version.

Cool thread.
