well if you havnt guessed already i have a marshall valvestate 8020 and it was my dads originially but he gave it me.
anyhooooooo
the problem is it used to go pretty load for an amp that isnt really that big but now all of a sudden its stopped workin properly (on distortion or 'boost' mode) and is really quiet even turned up to full volume and that sucks
whether its because its old and my always play it almost as load as it could go or its just being awkward please someone tell me how i could fix this problem

the preamp tube probably needs to be changed out.

idk take it into a shop to get it checked out. this happened to my old 10w amp i never fixed it though and its sitting in my garage.

It's not worth getting it fixed. Take the opportunity to throw it out of a window and use it as an excuse to get a new one.

i'm 99% sure it's the preamp tube, so don't listen to those other people lol. a new tube will only cost you like $8-12.
