i thaught id be a lil different and risk some flaming here haha

but i was jsut thinking, there are some groovy guitar players out there.
and we all know how important groove is.
so what guitarist do you think would make a good bass player

im going with John Frucsiante

when Moses brought down the plagues upon Egypt one of them involved Behringer amps

Wiggy Malmqueen recorded bass on so many of his albums it isn't even fair. www.yngwie.org has all the info.

Sure, he's a prick, but he's Yngwie Malmsteen for God's sake! What, with his hair and gut and leather pants, he's supposed to be humble and friendly?

For a second I thought you were taking a jab at Rancid's bass player Matt Freeman, saying his bass playing was guitar like, and I was about to compliment your cheekiness!

I would like to hear both Stevie Ray Vaughan and Duane Allman play bass. With their timing i think they would be rather good at it.

Tim Mcilrath. he just looks like a bass player to me.

I'm gonna go with Eric Clapton (can't believe no one's said him yet) and John 5.

EDIT: Of course... It might actually kill Clapton to do a song without soloing.

Actually prior to Band of Gypsies and Billy Cox, rumour has it Hendrix did play bass on some of his recordings.

As far as guitarists playing bass. Hmmm, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Though Keith Richards did a decent job on Bass in the Dirty Mac (Rock and Roll Circus)

It's not a rumpur Hendrix actually did, he'd always get pissed at Noel for not being able to play something, so he'd just play it for him. A few songs that Jimi played on are: Foxey Lady, The Wind Cries Mary, All Along the Watchtower, 1983 (A Merman I Should Hope to Be). Noel then learnt what Jimi had played for live performances.
