ok, i wanted to start learning how to put together my own guitar, but i didnt exactly want to try on nice new parts and screw it all up, because that would suck.

so i think what im going to try to do is find a rly cheap gutiar at a pawn shop for like 30-40$ max and then play around with that.

But i was wandering, are there like some generic brands that i will probly find ther? i mean like rly cheap guitar brands that always seem to find there way to pawn shops? if so, which are to best to look at

Still, pawn shops price their stuff pretty high.

.... What kinda pawn shops do you have round there?

To the TS: It should be pretty easy to find a beaten up old LP copy to mess around moding and stuff You'll find brand names you've never heard of from the 80s and such, and if the guitar has a few dents and scratches you should be able to find one around $50-70 easily. Under that will probably be pretty bad players, even just to mess around on.

In a local pawn shop near me they have some no name brand guitars but they also had a few named guitars for outragous prices simply because of the name. But i saw some cheap ones for around £30 but thats in England so it kinda sucks.

there's no specific stuff you find at pawn shops, it's just random stuff, if you're looking for something cheap just to fool around practicing your guitar building skills, just find something cheap
