I already know I want a Strat style guitar, and those are the three I'm looking at. My options would be:Get an Agile soon, get a used Strat soon, or get a new one later. So what to get?
My genres are Punk, Classic, and Alternitive BTW.

I'd go for the fender. I remember reading quite a lot of bad/just okay reviews about Agile's strats.

Do you have a chance to try either of 'em? I've heard good things about Agiles, but I like to be able to try a guitar before making a purchase (I just couldn't bring myself to order one online, unless it was just one of those one-in-a-million deals).

I'd already planned on the MIM, I was just checking if the Agiles were any good. So...used (soon) or new (Xmas)? And what color(red, blue, white)? Thanks.

If you really need to save money you should go used, but other than that I see no reason why you shouldn't get a new one. Just make sure you test it thoroughly and try more than 1.

And get whatever color you want man, it's gonna be your guitar, not ours.

I know, I just like all of them(the colors) and can't choose. Lol I'll probably end up choosing based on which plays the best in the store, or what I find used.

EDIT: How much could I get a used Mustang 65 reissue for, and would that be better?

I'd probably put the Agiles on par with the MIMs. You can get really good ones and really bad ones from either company.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

MIM Strats are about £300-£400, Mustangs are about £500. I dont' really see a lot of price variation when it comes to Mustangs, unless you got a used on off Ebay or something.

I'd opt for the MIM Strat. Only because its probably better than the Agiles. I mean, effectively, they are just Strat copies.

If you can find a Mustang you might like that better. Different tone (although still single coils), different/smaller body shape and a shorter scale.

I have an ST-1000 FAT and I think it exceeded the quality of MIM Fenders that I have played. If you do go the ST-1000 route I would consider a pickup swap as you might not like singles used on Agiles. But overall the ST that I have plays great, has a nice sound (not very strat like with the double buckers in mine though). I would just go with the ST-1000 and swap in new pickups, and maybe electronics and real locking tuners. By the time you get done with that Im sure it wouldn't be that much more than a MIM with minimal upgrades.
