I've always wondered if there are pieces with blazing metal-rock like solos for classical guitar. Some sweeping would look good right? Or maybe not. It's a weird question so i think i might ask the mighty Pit. Are there any classical songs with blazing solos or will the fastest pieces i play always be some other bach stuff.
Let's go back to five billion bpm and see how good i am.

Blazing?

If you want some pretty fast solo you could try Sultans of Swing? Lovely solo.

yes like that bro song but written to be played on the classical guitar specifically. and wow that was fast. paul gilbert can't be human.

It's not really the speed, more the fact that it is blazing!
Remember that it's played with the fingers and not a pick aswell

oh now i understand. thanks for the suggestion bro turned out to be really good stuff as im more of a neoclassical player. but to be more specific about what i wanted i can give the example of sidewinder-A7x . the flamenco solo is something like i want.

Spanish Fly? Dont think so. Obviously some parts are tapped but the rest of it will be with a pick.

Indeed. If you can find it, listen the acoustic version of Scarified by Paul Gilbert

holy **** . that was one of the best neoclassical songs i've ever heard. I hate Paul Gilbert for keeping it so hard. Now i have to torture my fingers for another 12 hours.

Eugene's trick bag always struck me as classical, IIRC it's based on a pagani piece.

It starts after Vai goes crazy and does a pirouette with his guitar while lowering the whammy bar.
Not only would it disrupt the fabric of time and space, but it would totally ruin the surprise!
