As I understand it, jigsaws aren't the ideal tool for cutting out body shapes. However, as I don't have the room or the money for a bandsaw, it looks like a jigsaw is my best option.

I'm just wondering if there are any minimum specifications I should look for when buying one...?

Thanks in advance.

your probably better just cutting ( if your making a guitar body) it out with the router, alot smoother lines, i did mine with a jigsaw and it takes a lot of sanding to get the edges straight, invest in a router argos do one for 12.99 with the bit for cutting

yeah, don't use a digsaw for bodies. they're for thin material cutting, like sheet metal, plywood and planks.

still not ideal...not very accurate
