Hello all! I'm new here, but I'm totally diggin' it! I have a question, I have been a "closet writter" for years now, and am finally getting the backbone to start performing and such.

My question is, how can I make a song more upbeat than it already seems to be? I have an acustic guitar and am okay at it. I know the basics and am trying to build myself higher. I wrote a song, that I feel, has a lot of potential. I want it more upbeat than it seems to be. I think I just need to can a drum set and elec. guitar in the mix and it will be better. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

It's actually Chelle, pronounced "shell". How do you "slap mute?" Is that just where you tap the strings over the whole? If that's it, cool I know how to do it, just didn't know what it was called!
