I got a Strartocaster from a pawn shop and theres a hole on the bridge.
I was wondering if its for a tremolo

If anyone needs a pic I'll try to get one.

Would I just need the bar, or should I replace the whole set?
I'm not sure of how to do this, but I think I have everything else that I need.

If everything else is set up, just get the bar

Everything is fine.....I've jsut never seen a default Squier with 3 springs

Did you upgrade it?

I did to mine in my first year...I didn't use the whammy very much =D

But yeah just get the Whammy bar if you can....maybe from ebay?

I don't know if anyone changed it, I got it used.
Should I get new springs?

No.

You'll get better sustain with the 3 strings

It'll just be harder to push down the whammy for a HUGE dive...if ever one is needed.

So needless to say...

No Eruption on this guitar.

=D

No need to replace the entire whammy bridge system, the whammy bar is always removable.
I looked around musiciansfriend.com and there are like 5 different types of bar replacements made by Fender... or you could go to your local guitar shop and ask around for a bar replacement and see if it fits before you buy online.

Go to a local guitar shop and get it fitted. Or you may get the wrong size.. Happened to me
