the idea intrigues me
what exactly do they do?
well i know they just boost treble but is it the same as cranking the treble on the amp?
can someone shhow me some links to some good ones?
whas has used them?
are they good solo boosterss?
do they increase harmonics?

They boost overall volume and treble, yeah. It's not really like cranking the treble knob, though. With a Rangemaster, for example, it's like setting your amp's volume just under the point of breakup, so that it'll get a bit when you play hard, and turning treble up, mids a bit down, and bass lower than the mids. I find that mine sounds best when driving an already overdriven amp, though. You could definitely get good use out of one as a solo booster.
