Ok so here's the deal. I'm thinking about getting a new guitar soon and I've got around £400 ($800) to spend. I play mostly rock and some metal as well, stuff like Nirvana, Offsrping, Metallica, 3 Doors Down etc etc. Currently I have an Ibanez RG321MH (which is awesome) and am using a Line 6 Spider II 15 amp (**** I know). Any suggestions from anybody, what brands should I be looking at? Washburn? Jackson? Ibanez?

Any help appreciated.

Why not get a new amp instead of a new guitar? The amp is going to help you get the sound you want a lot more than changing the guitar. And for $800 you could get some really good tube amps.

Ok then, thanks for your help, what tube amp would you recommend beacuse I have no clue when it comes to amps (hence the fact i ended up with a Line 6).

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
