So I got 200Ws of pure audio sex called the Acoustic 320 Amplifier

Only one porblem, when it is on it has alot of background noise. it is not pure static but, imagine pink noise from a synth.

There is nothing that can cause interferance near this amp, and the pots are generally smooth. So I deduce that it is something in the amp.

I am asking you guys what to do first because I am poor and if it is something stupid like I need to change the fuse I dont' want to pay out the ass for the guitar shop or the electronics shop to tell me

well you could try turning the gain down or ask at a music store about it but im no expert on amps so you must just have to sit tight and wait for an amp expert to see this thread

Is it noisy if you have nothing plugged into it and just have the amp on, on its own?

I am bumping my own thread to bring you an update! I tried pluging my bass to the master preamp in, to bypass the preamp alltogether and behold! The noise stopped!

But I like the preamp though! I dont' wana buy 2 preamps...
