i play just pure metal and i have a schecter c-1 classic and i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what new pickups i should get for it

What is wrong with your current pickups? If it's going to be a while before you get a new amp, get some vintage low output pickups, to avoid the solid state clipping on that amp you have. I had that amp, and trust me, the clipping is horrible.


^ Nevermind. If the Crank is a tube amp, try some of those EMG's all the metal players go on about.

hm okay. thats reasonable for me.

if u need decent metal pickups:
active pickups:
EMG 81/85 combo. works great for high gain music.

passive pickups:
Seymour Duncan Custom Custom
Dimarzio Tone Zone (favorite for Ibanez RG users...)

so yea. there you go. the amp would do more tone shaping than the pickups.

the neck pickups is almost shot and i had my amp for a while i would say about a good 2 1/2 years i pretty much look for something better

Or at least take your guitar to a guitar shop and try it in the amp you plan on getting just to be sure.
Not taking any online orders.
