I need to make a simple solo to a very simple power chord progression:
e|--------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------10-10-10-10-10-10-10-|
A|---10-10-10-10-10-10-10--8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8--|
E|---8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8--------------------------------|

What notes on a higher octave/string will generally sound well with these notes?
Also, how I do I go about figuring something like that out?

Thanks in advance for any information.

You could improvise on a scale in the same key. Maybe 2 octaves higher.

If I'm not mistaken... it looks like the song is in C... Play in Cmaj, Am, or their pentatonics (if you don't know 'em yet, I think that the pentatonics are easiest to learn)
My rig:

Guitars:
Ibanez Jetking 2 (electric)
Hohner HW300-G TBK (acoustic)

Amps:
Peavey Encore 65
Crate CP-150 and building my own cabinet in the summer

Effects:
Boss DS-1 Distortion
Boss CH-1 Super Chorus
Dunlop Cry-Baby Wah
