I have a Gretsch Electromatic pro Jet. I'm not too satisfied with the factory pups so I was thinking of buying new ones. Since I don't really know any way of testing pickups before you buy them I would like your opinion on this setup. A Duncan SM-2 for the bridge and SM-1 for the neck. Thanks.

You are always in my thoughts,
Your eyes are perfect, your body is tight.
Put on this strap on i just bought
And ride my anus into the night.

No way in hell. Just gotta read and hope the descriptions are about right, or find somoe with those pups already installed.

Exception: on a Strat, you can swap out 2 pickguards, fully wired, with different pups, in about 10 minutes. Or switch between 3 different ones. Satch did that before he could afford to wipe his ass with JS1000's.

So it's a bad setup?

I would say up to 200$ and I'm looking for a tone that can play both AC/DC and Metallica at the same time.

I didn't mean it was a bad setup, just impossibble to know how a given pu will REALLY sound through a given amp with a given body wood and guitar.
