why do strings buzz or are they supposed to and how can i correct this if needed be!????????? thanks

You can adjust your bridge so the strings are higher off the fretboard
Call me Jeff if you want, I prefer that.

Strings buzz if the action is too low or the neck is bowed incorrectly.

or if you're a real newbie then it might just be that you're not pressing hard enough, if you are, it's probably one of the above

yeah the best bet is to adjust the bridge and make it higher off the fret board, i gave my really old crappy guitar a full tune up and cleaning and i raised the fret boad and no more buzz i suggest you do the same

A complete setup only costs about $30 for a non-Floyd Rose guitar. It will be the best money you ever spent (except for your guitar.)
