I've got a 5 string with a low b. How can i get that fifth string to get more attack?
All the cool kids use signatures like this.

If you're talking about more clarity (versus mud) on your B string, get a higher gauge and adjust your EQ.

EQ'ing your amplifier or bass with the bass knob on 10 is NOT the way to get good tone.

9 times out of 10, 'attack' is the result of cutting frequencies, not boosting them. Try a little mud reducing in the low-mids. Try anywhere from 100Hz to 300Hz. If you perceive an overall loss of bottom, boost the bass to compensate for the lesser low-mids.

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..
