What styles of music do you play?

What's your budget?

If you answer these questions, and put your answers, with "which guitar" into the Search Bar, you should get some results to help you.

i'd suggest a custom shop esp
Gear:
Jackson DKMG Dinky (EMG 81/85)
Ibanez GIO (i put a Dimbucker in the bridge)
Crate GT65 (65 watts) to be upgraded soon, suggestions welcome (must be tubed)
Floor Pod (for sale)

you know it would help to say what kind of music you play. Overall good guitars would be Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Stratocaster, or a Fender Telecaster. Tele's are good for country and blues, Strats are good for a classic rock sound *nothing too metal*, and Les Pauls are famed for their heavier sound *and weight*. If you're into hard rock and metal an Ibanez RG series would be the way to go. Just some food for thought.
Ibanez RGT42DX

Washburn X10

My request is a Les Paul DC in natural finish with a custom ebony fingerboard, and a 500T in the bridge.
#14
I play Metal, Sometimes licks like Velvet Revolver, Billy Talent. My amp is one of those nooby starter set ones, im only 13 and no ones gonna hire me.
It doesnt matter how much, just as long as its under $3k.
My current guitar is a Gibson SG with Seymour Duncan Pick-Ups(I got it on my B-Day, no one knew I play metal those days)
Oh Ya, and i meant recomend, I was in a hurry the day I wrote that.
#15
Well you have SG covered, so the next three essential guitars are a Gibson Les Paul, Gibson 335 and a Fender Stratocaster. No particular order, but you will have a collection that covers any genre, any style, all the major sounds of rock. Since you already have a Gibson I would consider a Strat (or Fat Strat.) Lots of difference in the sounds of Gibsons and Fenders.
Or for about $200 USD you can get a real nice 5 watt tube combo and make much more difference in your sound than a new guitar. You'll be amazed at what that SG will sound like.
#17
Hey, I'm 13 and noob, wat is a 5 watt tube? wat does it do?

A 5 watt tube amplifier combo is the amp plus the speaker in the same box. I think tube amps sound better (a tube is like a light bulb in back of the amp, 5 watters will have two of them.) The tube is the part that does the work of making the signal from the guitar loud (amplifys.)
Most cheaper ( and some expensive) amps are solid state, what used to be called transistors.) Some of them sound pretty good, but in my opinion tubes sound better.

if you have 3k to spend
get a hellraiser FR or maybe the non-floyd version if you don´t like them
for amp get a mesa boogie express 5:25 or 5:50

I need a Gibson Les Paul. Put a floyd on mine, and make it out of korina, 5A quilted maple, with a korina neck thru body, ebony fingerboard, with Abalone vine of life inlays, 3 volume and 3 tone controls, a coil tap for each pickup (3 seymour duncan Blackouts) and on top of it all a gold-plated case made of fine ebony.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
