ok so i have a dell laptop and i dont know why but sound will not come out of the speakers anymore. it works if i plug in headphones or other speakers into the headphone jack but it does not play out of the laptop speakers. any idea why?

have you tried turnning it off and on again?

then look at your volume settings and nooobish shiz

more or less, hes right. Dell's customer support is so ****ty.

well your sound card isnt broken because headphones work

that leaves you with the speakers...something about them is broken

Just get a new set. They are cheap and better these days
Logitech has some good ones.

I dont even deal with them anymore and currently am running an Acer
I normally have good luck with the dell computers and so I hardly have to ever call Dell for anything.

missed that part...........
laptops....mostly dells in this case are extremely hard to open up and all that and even so, it may not be an easy fix/

That being said i think its best to send it out for repair.

Hope you have the box it came in so you dont get charged for a new one to send it out to dell..............
