try practicing minor arpeggios on your top four strings. for example:

----12
---12-12
--12---12
-14-----14
-
-
etc.

A great way to isolate finger rolls is to practice going up and down a scale,
in any finger position, in 4ths. You can also combine that with isolating
inside or outside or 2 string sweeps. Plus, they all make great lines when
used in solos.

I'm trying to understand what you mean but I'm knackered and cant comncentrate Could you explain that a bit more please it sounds pretty helpful

Um, not really. I meant you'd go up and down a scale like (in degrees):

1 - 4 , 2 - 5, 3 - 6, 4 - 7, ....

in a single finger position. So, each pair is on an adjacent strings, back and forth.
That works out rolling with ALL the fingers. It's not a roll move with every pair,
but its a majority. Also a good way of seeing a scale better and practicing 4ths
between the G & B strings which can be pesky.
