Anyone else into just really weird, abstract art. Personally I love it. I just love getting random ideas down on paper. Heres one that i just kinda sketched out today.

It's a cool idea. Keep drawing and reading art books or something. I love weird art.

As for my favorite art, most would consider weird, Mr. Salvador Dali.

A few..

Yeah Dali is pretty awesome. My favorite artist is probably Ian Cooper. I met him on the waterfront in Victoria BC and ive just been inspired ever since. He has a site somewhere w/ some awesome stuff on it.

I don't draw a lot or anything but sometimes I'll get the urge to draw something just for the hell of it...I sorta like this one though...it's mostly ink...

I've seen some really cool stuff in galleries and whatnot. Too bad I don't have pictures of any. Dali and Escher are great and all, but I love going to an art gallery and heading straight for the contemporary section. There's always alot of awesome stuff.

Dali and Magritte are both great... Magritte's cleverer with his visual illusions, but as surrealism goes I love Dali's warped landscapes.

I can't stand a lot of contemporary art though. Hirst I don't mind, but Jackson Pollock, Tracey Emin, Andy Warhol ...those guys (I realise they're very different) don't really do it for me.

this is surrealism, not abstract

i like the ideas of some of these pieces but i never really got into surrealism that much. there's one painting by magritte that i really like, and saw in some gallery in scotland earlier this year, but i can't for the life of me remember what it's called. i'll post it when i find it

dali is surrealist.

abstract is more like jackson pollock. I think futurism and cubism count as abstract, so picasso as well. that kinda stuff.
