The ESP looks much sharper but I haven't played either so i cant really give a valid answer.
if you want to pay the extra $400 go for it but the emg pickup on the ESP would sound pretty sweet.
Get the ESP, Jacksons are only good if you buy custom, IMO. Jackson necks are pretty cheap and wack.

someone likes talking sh*t...
if you can stretch your budget up to $1k +, might as well look at other guitars with more features rather than spend your money on Alexi 600 which only has 1 EMG hz pickup. If i were you, i'd consider the LTD M1000. EMG actives, original floyd, neck thru construction, alder body, pretty much all the good stuff.
