Okay, I really want to have the shit scared out of me. I've been cruising some "Top 10" scariest movies lists, but they've nearly all lost credibility due to the original "Halloween" being on there. I really wanted to see the new remake, but after reading reviews, IT doesn't sound very scary either. And on top of that, it seems like I've grown a bit of a tolerance to all but the most incessant scary-as-fuck scenes. So, what are some of the scariest movies you Pit-goers have ever seen?

I heard it was a really bad film.

I haven't really seen many scary films. Uzumaki was damn creepy though.

There was this scene in the Japanese version of 'The Grudge' where the girl from the Grudge walks towards a camera, and you can see her face and everything.

Scared me ****less.

Although, I barely watch horror 'cos I'm a little pussy.

Oooh, I gotta see Uzumaki, good call. It's been recommended to me a few times. ^^^^^ (lost count, but you should know who you are) Meh, the American version didn't do much for me. Maybe the Japanese is scarier...?

Yes, Uzumaki is very good. Get your hands on the manga if you can, it's really bizarre.

Umm... Suspiria is pretty creepy, as is Shock (1977). I also found the original Evil Dead to be quite scary.

is you like that kinda scary get THE DESCENT. its new and ****in scary

I watched it a little while ago and was a bit disappointed. Some parts scared the living **** out of me (near the end, in the car), but I thought other bits were weak. Great moment when (spoiler, if you're planning on seeing it don't read ahead............ that should be enough dots) that one chick hits the other in the throat with the pick. My reaction was like:

I thought Kolobos was quite scary... but it's essentially an independent slasher which messes with the protagonist's sense of reality, so it's up to you to watch it.

There are dubbed versions.

I hear Let's Scare Jessica to Death is supposed to be mega-creepy. It's about this girl who has just left this mental institution and is with her friends in some remote town, and her reality starts crashing. I saw a part of it a while ago... scared me ****less.

Generally, I didn't find The Shining too bad. But the little twins were creepy.
