here's some lyrics i wrote

And your abrasive words cut and scar my personality
I can’t look at myself the same
You words’ interpretation lacks the morality
That you held onto for so long
It scattered from you like lambs before a wolf
And pattered into the night
Never again will you hold that right

I try to acclimate to this new environment
‘Cause you’ve taken away the sun
You have decimated the entire trend
That I’ve held onto for so long
And it shattered like all hope I had
Of staying above the churning foam
That flooding what I once called home

‘Cause you leave me to picture a new world
Ruled by what I thought you were
When I saw your face my whole world turned
Only to be turned by you again, and again, and again
Until I crashed and burned
You think I would have learned
The first time

Many fathoms deep in the ocean lay my trust and hopes
And your clothing lies with my corpse
You shed what were your outer layers yet left me exposed
To the cruel societal rules
And the statues engraved in my past
That I worshipped for so long a time
‘Cause I thought you were mine…

‘Cause you leave me to picture a new world
Ruled by what I thought you were
When I saw your face my whole world turned
Only to be turned by you again, and again, and again
Until I crashed and burned
You think I would have learned
The first time

i really like this mate, loads of excellent imagery. i'd be interested to know whether this was going to be a sad slow acoustic song or a more uptempo one. im thinking it seems like it could work well as either. nice work
