hey guys,

I have an Ovation AE28 from the 90s at the moment, and although i play and love my classical i want to improve my skills on steel strings.
I'm looking at about a max budget of £500 ($1000 US) and a condenser mic pickup would be nice, I like 000, jumbo and parlour shaped bodies. I like Ceder tops, but Spruce and Sitka Spruce are good too.
This guitar will be taken to college, gigged with and carted around a lot so I don't want anything to extravagant.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

^ I haven't ever been a Takamine fan, but there new pre-amp looks quite nice . Unfortuantly the models i like the look of are about £1000 XD, which is a bit much really.

Any other suggestions from anyone?
