You could try it, I don't see why it wouldn't work. It might be a little tough when try to do single notes, though.

If you mean throwing your guitar over your shoulder its fully possible!

I've nearly got it down and unless youre shorter than 5' 5" it wont be too big to do it.

You need practise, confidence and a lotta duct tape!

Do double over the shoulder and over the back. Over the back is basically a reversed guitar throw.

Spins on the spot a la pete wentz, jumping etc.

Youre gonna have to wear your bass high up then!

WOO.

that move aint hard, its just holding your guitar with your right hand at the base of the neck and winging it around you but still holding on then twisting.

When I saw The Hold Steady the guitarist tried that with an LP, he didn't throw it hard enough so it lost momentum and came crashing down on the back of his head.

You can do it, but on bass there are a few problems:

1: The bass has a longer neck, so to make sure it doesn't smash into the ground, so you need to wear your bass higher.

2: But the higher you have your bass the harder it is to throw it around.

What the hell is the point of windmills? They look retarded anyway.

WHATS A WINDMILL?

The arm strumming thing, or when yuo throw the guitar around you?

I'd suggest practicing with your back-up bass.

I'd hate to see my P-Bass take a nose dive straight into the ground.
#20
yea thats exactly how im feeling but im not buying a new p-bass for a couple weeks

Pete Townshend windmill power chording >>>>>>> Spinning the bass around your body.
#25
I personally think it's dumb because so many bad things can happen and you should play your instrument, not throw it around acting like you can actually play, but if you really want to do it, make sure you get strap locks. Again, MAKE SURE YOU GET STRAP LOCKS!! You really don't want your bass to fly like 10 feet away from you and smash in a wall, like in some video I saw, or smash into someone's face.

I am in awe of your sizzling wit. please, accept this congratulatory e-cookie, and accompanying basket.
#26
Well I tried doing one without straplocks...my bass's neck nearly snapped in half on impact, luckily though it still plays. But yeah make sure you have strap locks or use alot of duct tape
#27
me
))my band's music in the background((

it was over a year and a half ago, with my crappy yamaha bass.

i got it first try, easy way to check if the neckstock is gonna hit is just see if when your standing straight up if the neck hits the ground...if it doesnt then your good to go. just go for it, because if you hold back you wont spin hard enough
#28
I was watching that Bodog Battle of the bands show on fuse, and the bassist from one of the bands did a windmill and his bass came off and smashed. That sucks.
