I think almost anyone can say that they have a CD they love but not a lot of people know about. Mine would be Mystery Tracks Archives, Vol. 3 by Steve Vai. Not one of his recognized albums because its a b-sid album, but ingenius none the less. What is yours?

the Two Gallants EP. I bought it from them when they were still playing street corners. most of their newer songs are crap. same thing with the Full Moon Partisans and the Rappin' Cowboy.

If you are rowing down the road in your canoe and your wagon wheel falls off. How many pancakes does it take to make a doghouse?

I think you should go to the Amazon, cut down a tree and make one guitar out of it, then burn the rest.

Just about everything I listen to isn't well known outside a bunch of UGers and a few friends of mine.

"Australasia"- Pelican
"At the Soundless Dawn"- Red Sparowes
"Enter"- Russian Circles
"New Obscurantis Order"- Anorexia Nervosa
"Charge!!"- The Aquabats
"Perfect Pitch Black"- Cave In
"Menos el Oso"- Minus the Bear
"Who Killed the Zutons?"- The Zutons
"Prometheus: The Discipline of Fire & Demise"- Emperor
"RUUN"- Enslaved
"A Natural Disaster"- Anathema
"Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place"- Explosions in the Sky
"Oceanic"- ISIS
"Ágætis Byrjun"- Sigur Ròs

Far too many more.

My school is dominated by people who listen to nothing but the popular stuff. Very few people I know listen to other stuff.

I can just say "Godspeed You! Black Emperor" and get the weirdest looks on the planet, not to mention the looks from "Korpiklaani", "Amon Amarth", "Suzukiton", "Slint", etc.

You can never fucking trust Canada when Canada decides to report on world news that doesn't concern Canada. Canada is only in it for Canada's sake. Canada doesn't even know Batman.

Yea, I know, but they're rarely known over here.

The only reason I know about them is because the "Pressure Point" video was on the PSP sample disc that came with the PSP.

I fell in love with the song, and then I heard it on "MVP Baseball 2005", but that's still a limited audience.

I'm pretty envious of foreign music most times.

On Avery Island by Neutral Milk Hotel.
They're little known anyway, but In The Aeroplane Over The Sea gets all the attention. OAI is the more cohesive and better of the two.

Then there's Down In Albion by Babyshambles. They get an unfair rap for being a worthless junkie music band, but there's some real gold on that record. You just need to dig deeper than the first track to find it. I mean, Pete's a brilliant poet, but anyone who opens their album with a track featuring the vocal talents of Kate Moss needs to get off the smack.

And one of my personal favourites, Cocquelicot Asleep In The Poppies, by Of Montreal. It's a concept album about a magical creature name Cocquelicot, and it's one of the trippiest records I've ever listened to. It's ace.

Yeah they are great they're one of the few indie bands i like. I usually have little time for the genre because I find the fans to be pretentious

Same.

I've only recently learned more about indie and some of the modern alternative.

Minus the Bear is an obsession for me recently. They're so addictive.
