I'll cut right to it--MY STRINGS KEEP BREAKING, IT'S PISSING ME OFF!!!

I'm serious, I go through strings in a week, and then SNAP--they break. I don't know why my strings are snapping now--even when stretching them they break!

Do any of you have an idea why my strings keep breaking?

The last time my strings broke, it snapped near the bridge area.

When you restring to do leave enough room for the string to go around the peg twice at least?

Check out the guitar and my sig and look up the specs (no offence).

First of all, no, it does not have a trem. Second, it has locking tuners, so I don't need to wrap it around...

Sharp string saddle? Elaborate please.

if there are burrs or rough edges where the strings rest, these can snap a string up real quick. a small needle files can smooth out the edges real quick

The second last bit on your guitar, the bridge before the tailpiece. where you set the intonation is sharp and is snapping your strings.

Yeah the ESP bridges tend to do that. My viper broke the high E string straight away all the time.

If it's breaking at the bridge check the tops of the string saddle bits for any sharp edges or dents or anything abnormal.

If it's breaking at the tail-piece then check the front and back of the holes for any sharp edges. Also if the tail-piece is down too low the angle of the strings could weaken them and make them break so try raising the tail-piece up a bit higher and see if that helps.

If all that fails take it to a shop and ask them to find the problem and fix it for you?

LOL "are zebra pickups any good"
thats a classic

anyways

what kinda strings do u use? try using d'addarios or ernie balls they r the best on the markey imo. but if its an issue with a sharp bridge or saddle you might want to get a new one...
