What Ibanez do you guys recommend for max £400 (though preferably under £300) that will suit 80s metal, hair metal, classic rock, and blues rock?
#3
Ibanez S470 or an Ibanez SZ520. What amp and guitar do you currently have?
#4
any RG would do. For 400 quid you can maybe get a prestige if your nice to the shop owner.

You could just look on ebay for a Decent JEM replica though for about 300 quid, and although its not genuine, they are beautiful guitars

Fender Strat. sorry but i'd never buy an Ibanez.

According to your sig you have one though

TS: I'd recommend an S470; that should be in your budget and it'll do everything you want quite nicely.

Well, ain't you the helpful one...

TS - S470 is probably your best bet new, if you go used look for an old RG 5-something or 4-something.

did anyone say s470?
or an RG if you can find one without a crappy trem at that price.

the artist series would be useless for Hair metal and 80's metal though.

it'd be a good one if youre more into the blues rock though i suppose

^ not with a pick up change. they're really brilliant feeling guitars. no shops here stock them but my friend has one and by god is it a beauty, i wish the arx320 had the same hardware as the arx500 only in silver, and the nicer inlays, but that's why there's a price difference.

S470 or RG1570, the S is cheaper though. But ones mahogany, ones basswood, one's edge pro, ones ZR its preference really.

And the fender strat is a very valid thing but never say something like "never buy an ibanez" no brands are "never to be bought from" because they'll all have fans and pros, even if their are many cons they'll have their upsides.

how much is 400 in USD? but yeah.. ibanez rg's are awesome.

... there's an Ibanez guitar in your gear list in your sig?

+1 for S470, or a decent RG. Make sure you try it out first though!

Thin necks make you play faster because guitars with thin necks sound thin and bad, and you play fast to distract people from the bad tone.

It doesn't matter, everything costs more over here anyway.

2 USDs are equal to 1 Euro.

so it must be 800 USDs then...

I could be 1500 USD it doesn't matter because in England we get fucked on prices.

Example: Ibanez RG7321 $379.99 on musiciansfriend.com

same thing: £278 on gak.co.uk, which works out to about $560 (very roughly).

See what I mean? I would also point out that GAK.co.uk is relatively cheap.
